Toronto, Canada — May 17, 2025 — Panaxium is honoured to have been selected as one of Canada’s Top 20 Moonshot Ventures™ of 2025, following a closed-door showcase at the National Angel Capital Organization (NACO) Summit held at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa.
Chosen through a national, member-driven nomination process, Panaxium was one of 23 ventures selected to present on the exclusive Moonshots Stage™, a platform reserved for Canada’s most promising early-stage companies across AI, cleantech, healthtech, space, and deeptech. Each venture was nominated by a leading angel group or early-stage investment organization. Panaxium’s nomination came from Brampton Angels and Altitude Accelerator.
Dr. Brad Schmidt, Panaxium’s CEO and Co-Founder, delivered a TED-style presentation on the company’s pioneering therapy designed to rewire the brain and restore abilities lost to stroke and traumatic brain injury. Panaxium’s approach combines advanced neurostimulation with precision imaging to enable recovery of motor function, representing a significant shift in how brain injury rehabilitation is approached.
The Moonshots cohort, collectively having raised over $190 million to date, was introduced in a closed session attended by top-tier angel investors, venture capital firms, and corporate innovation leaders. The selection highlights Panaxium’s progress toward its clinical and commercialization milestones, and its position as a leader in next generation neurotechnology.
