Panaxium Invited to Join International Research Exchange IONBIKE 2.0

Short-term research and innovation collaborations across industry and academia aim to push the boundaries of eutectogels and fully explore science and technology applications in energy, bioelectronics, and the environment sectors.

August 14, 2024 – Panaxium is pleased to announce that it has been selected as an official industry partner for the global IONBIKE 2.0 project, as one of 15 leading industry and academic organizations across 11 countries, working to explore new applications for disruptive “eutectogel” materials.

The project is EU-funded and supported by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Staff Exchange. IONBIKE 2.0 continues the work of the preceding IONBIKE RISE project, and builds on the knowledge and momentum with the addition of five new partners.

These partners include six European universities, six non-European universities, one research organization, and two industry partners, including Panaxium, bringing together interdisciplinary expertise from fields, including chemistry, polymers, electrochemistry, organic electronics, bioelectronic devices, energy, chemical engineering, environmental membranes, and medical sciences.

Panaxium CEO Brad Schmidt said, “As one of two industry partners selected from a global field for this incredibly important project, we recognize the need to align scientific discoveries with immediate commercial needs in the market. We are excited to be involved in this important knowledge transfer and look forward to working with everyone, and witnessing the scientific innovations they drive in developing new materials and devices.”

“This puts us in the exciting position to participate in the absolute leading-edge materials going on in laboratories around the world.”
